We work for our
Latin Community
What we fight for
Our Origins are different but our heart and blood beats for the same goal, a world full of equity in which barriers do not exist between languages, traditions and customs, where love guides the path of our descent.
We share with you
Our mission and vision
Mission
To inspire and strengthen the Latin community through the spirit of service, promoting comprehensive growth in health, work and education, always uplifting and proudly honoring our roots.
vision
To be the leading beacon in the Latino community, celebrating the richness of our culture and our roots; providing comprehensive health to individuals in an environment of equality, respect, inclusion and harmony that resonates with the strength of our traditions.
Our Logo
And what it represents.
"Despertar Latino" embodies the echo of an ancient wisdom that guides and unifies the Latino community on its journey towards self-discovery and cultural affirmation. This journey extends to the four cardinal points, marked by the clam of knowledge, a sacred symbol that houses the seeds of understanding and the will to work. Each seed planted blooms in an act of recognition of our roots and aspirations. The open eye, the central emblem of our logo, symbolizes consciousness and rebirth; an invitation to look at the world with renewed perspectives and unwavering hope. The tool we hold represents the daily effort, resilience and creativity with which we forge our dreams and build palpable realities. Our logo rises along an upward path, outlined by patterns that evoke our rich cultural heritage, always heading towards the beating heart of our community. It is a reminder that, united in wisdom and effort, we are capable of lifting the collective spirit and unfolding a range of possibilities towards a prosperous and united future. "Latino Awakening" is not just a symbol; It is a living narrative, a commitment to each individual who is part of this vibrant community. In each line, shape and color of our logo, the unbreakable spirit of Latinos is reflected, ready to awaken in a new era of their own light, prosperity and unity.
Services
And what it represents.
CulturArte
Mission of the Culture Committee (CulturArte): To Renew and revitalize the artistic spirit of our community, promoting the creation of works that reflect our cultural essence. Through art, we promote reuse and recycling, fusing tradition with sustainability, and demonstrating that beauty and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. Humility, tolerance, brotherhood.
Worker Center
Mission of the Workers Center Committee (Labor Awakening): To empower and support workers in the search for a dignified and fair work environment, where respect and appreciation for each individual is the priority. We are committed to educating about labor rights and responsibilities, promoting equity, knowledge and regulatory compliance, to foster safe, inclusive and prosperous workspaces. Vision of the Workers’ Center Committee (Labor Awakening): To become the reference bastion for the labor community, where each worker, regardless of their occupation, feels that their work is valued and respected. We envision a future in which the recognition of rights and responsibilities is not just knowledge, but daily practice, creating a network where the dignity and well-being of the workers are the norm and not the exception.
Holistic and wellness center
At Despertar Latino, the Holistic Health and Wellness Center emphasizes the importance of nurturing collective well-being, understanding that the health of the community is essential to the well-being of each individual. Our mission is to promote a holistic balance in the physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual aspects, through practices that strengthen connection and mutual support between members of our community.
At Despertar Latino we gather reliable and free resources to support our immigrant community on their way to citizenship, learning English, defending their rights and accessing legal services.
